My Breeding Ethics
Hi, I'm Sarah and I've been breeding working dogs for over 30 years.
I live in rural Scotland and am a keen shot and countrysports enthusiast.
I bred my first litter of puppies aged 17 and have enjoyed great success as a small hobby breeder since.
I believe that temperament, health and ability come first.
I like quiet, biddable dogs which are easy to train and live with.
All my cocker girls are given plenty of work in the beating line and on the peg.
I like to see them perform in a variety of scenarios, to make sure they have the right attributes.
I use Toy Poodle studs as I prefer a small, compact cockapoo. They are also intelligent and trainable.
I aim to produce happy, healthy puppies from DNA health tested clear parents and I like to make sure all my puppies go to the very best possible homes, therefore, if you get in touch with me, I will be interested in asking you lots of questions about your experience level and lifestyle. I am not like some breeders who only want to know which colour and sex you want and when you are coming to collect the puppy.
It's important to me to know my babies are going to good people who will continue the loving care I've given them for the 8 weeks prior to them leaving for their new home

If you’re looking for a loving Cockapoo to join your family, I warmly invite you to explore my breeding ethics.
You will be asked to complete a puppy suitability questionnaire and if successful, you will then receive a detailed email giving more details of my pricing and procedure. Once you have read it through and are happy with everything you can then be part of my waiting list, and be kept updated on forthcoming litters. I usually only have 3 per year, so please make sure to get in touch as soon as you decide a puppy is for you. Once puppies are born you'll receive lots of photo and video updates until 5 weeks when first visits take place. The visit usually lasts around an hour and you'll get to meet mum, dad, other relatives and choose your preferred puppy. Then and only then do you pay a deposit to secure.
PLEASE NOTE there are a few unethical breeders out there who do things the opposite way around, they aren't interested in finding out about you or your family, they just want your money upfront. Sometimes even before the puppies are conceived! and often this is branded as a "Non refundable deposit"
PLEASE don't ever give your money to breeders like this! You work hard to earn it so should only part with it once you are happy with everything, including the breeder!
